The Delivery Presents – After the Election, What? Tell More Stories
It is not enough, as I say in Episode 172, to break out the spreadsheets and line charts when we want to explain why over-sized government is bad for us all. We have to put those numbers into a narrative that people can share easily. Throughout history, we humans have passed down our morals, cautions, legends, and lessons through stories. Myth is the first “viral content”. In the first half, I hash out the whole matter of conservative storytelling — why we should tell good stories and what sort of stories we might want to tell first. Consider the show an expansion on Episode 171, in which I left a whole lot on the table and decided this week to scoop it all up and make a delicious podcast goulash out of it.
But that’s the second half. Before that, a little Election Night advice to “stay frosty” and a look at what problems we’ll face after the election. The list is long and we’ll need some patience. Okay, we’ll need lots of patience. Tons of it.
