Clearing the Browser Tabs – Sarah’s Out Thursday Edition
Sarah Palin is officially not running for President. She made the announcement on Mark Levin’s radio show last night and gave a few broad hints about what she might do instead. I’m not particularly torn up about her decision. For months I’ve said that I wasn’t entirely sure she would run and I’ve never been particularly high on her as a Presidential candidate. However, I am very high on her ability to push conservative principles farther into the nooks and crannies of government. She is very good at pushing an issue into public view and she would do a considerable amount of good if she continued to do that with more vigor.
The one person who must be cursing Palin’s name right now is Nicole Wallace, the political consultant who worked on the McCain campaign who very loudly trashed Palin shortly after the election. Wallace recently released a new book wherein she continued her strategy of riding Palin’s coattails to a level of fame she could never achieve on her own. Now that Palin is ducking into the background a bit, Wallace’s book won’t make the best-seller list, which just makes me all sorts of sad.
Wait, no. Happy. It makes me all sorts of happy. Because Nicole Wallace is a bottom-feeder whose book is already being shredded as a collection of fantasies. If I had my way, she’d never work in politics again. She’s untrustworthy.

- Herman Cain: If you’re not rich, it’s your own fault!
- If you were famous, and made a special trip to read a book to school children, and you knew that your appearance there would draw the attention of the press, would you read a book about…you?
- Oh how the Tea Parties drive progressives to spittle-flecked insanity.
- The economy is about to crater, says The Ben Bernanke, but he’s ready to save the day! Well, forgive me if I don’t exactly take him at his word on either point.
- So let’s say you raised cows. I bet you think you have a right to drink the milk you get from those cows. According to this judge in Wisconsin, you do not. I say the people of Wisconsin, left and right, need to impeach this totalitarian stooge so quickly his exit from office creates a sonic boom.
- Chicago is not a little bit corrupt; it is the gold standard of corruption. That’s worth remembering when you hear more about SolyndraScam, Operation Fast and Furious, and the New Black Panther Party.
- It’s about time the White House sent three very good trade agreements (Colombia, South Korea, and Panama) to Congress. We have to be more aggressive about tacking down trade agreements with countries like these that are becoming more open and more dynamic. If we do not, I guarantee you that China and Russia will.
- I really like this video sent out by the NHL’s head disciplinarian on what a good “hit” looks like. Players need clear guidelines not only what what is bad but also for what is good. By the way, hockey begins tonight!
Marizela has been missing for seven months now. Remain vigilant, my friends in the greater Seattle area.
