Instapundit Turns Ten
Today is the tenth anniversary of Instapundit, Glenn Reynold’s blog de tutti bloggi that inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of writers to start their own ventures on the internet. It’d be hard to detail the influence the Professor has had on the blogosphere, though I’m sure an “Instapundit Family Tree” would make an interesting thesis for some enterprising young PhD candidate.
If that candidate ever comes across The Shack, I’ll give you at least one little nugget. Instapundit was one of the few blogs (along with Q and O, Ed Morrissey’s Captain’s Quarters blog, and Joel Gaines’ No Pundit Intended) I read regularly before I started The Shack back in April, 2004. So, at least partially, he’s my Blogfather and I’m thankful for his influence.
Happy Anniversary, Professor Reynolds. I, along with Rand Simberg, Joy McCann, and The Anchoress, hope you have many more.
