Clearing the Browser Tabs – The Cowardice of the Brave Left Wednesday Edition
Surely the open-minded fans of transparency and free debate who run the yearly Netroots Nation conference wouldn’t be so petty that they’d take extraordinary measures to make sure a competing grassroots conservative conference couldn’t operate in the same city at the same time as their jamboree would they?
Oh, you know the answer to that one.
I’m sure they have a good reason to be afraid of Right Online. Maybe they’re concerned that Andrew Breitbart will saunter menacingly toward them and attempt to watch their shindig without the proper credentials again. On the other hand, if they deny conservatives a nearby place to meet, then how will they get their next story about Sooper Sekrit progressive spies who journeyed into the very belly of the beast and found widespread acceptance and politeness along with conservative politics?

- Fun with states, colors, and unemployment statistics!
- If you have children in Maryland’s public schools, you can rest easy knowing that they won’t be allowed to graduate without “a comprehensive, diverse environmental education” the state’s Department of Education calls “environmental literacy”. Of course, your kid probably won’t be able to read or do math well enough to take a basic course at a junior college without remedial help, but hey, Go Gaia!
- Our “quick fix” society costs some of us much more than it does others. At some point, sooner rather than later I think, the people bearing the brunt of the costs will get tired of it and take drastic action. I don’t think we want to see that happen.
- The nanny state? It’s GrrrrrrRREAT!
- It’s a good day when someone smarter than the Washington Post’s hired Democrat party shill Ezra Klein bats him around like a stuffed mouse cat toy. Today, it’s James Capretta’s turn.
- The more I learn about politics nowadays, the more attractive Texas looks to me. On the closely-related point on whether you can be trusted to buy light bulbs (answer from the nanny staters: No, idiot!), John Nolte is dead-on.
- My friend Brian has a dream, and it’s pretty cool. Think you can help? Why not drop him a line!
