Clearing the Browser Tabs – An E-Book You Need Saturday Edition
Duane Lester is one of the most talented and hardest-working bloggers on the planet. He’s also the father of about a bazillion children and husband to a lovely and gracious woman who demands such frivolities as shelter, clothing, and food.
I know. How demanding of her!
Well, Duane has devised a clever way of earning the money that will provide those things plus allow him to venture out to places where he can gather more interesting blog fodder. He’s combed through his archives — about 4 years worth of work and over 4,500 posts — and pulled out some of the very best. He then put them together in a very attractive e-book format, added a foreword by some wiseacre blogger friend of his with whom you might be familiar, and made the whole thing available to you for the ridiculously low price of $5.
His e-book is called I Bought A Gallon of Milk Today: The Best of All-American Blogger and it’s good stuff. I know because I already have a copy. Hop on over and pick up your copy right now. Let’s see if we can’t make Duane’s book the first of a string of self-published successes for the amazingly talented field of right-wing bloggers.
And now, links!
- What? This guy thinks we can lower college tuition and give students a better education by making college professors actually teach classes? Why that’s madness! (via memeorandum)
- There isn’t a “real” reporter in the world who has done better work on #WeinerGate than has Ace of Spades. Yet they pull down fat paychecks and Ace will continue to rattle his tip jar. That’s wrong.
- Does the MSM think Sarah Palin is “evil”? Well, I don’t know. You tell me.
- We’re really paying $3 million to get monkeys stoned out of their gourds then study them to find out…how monkeys act when they’re stoned out of their gourds.
- Another month, another stunning act of racism from Barack Obama’s Department of Justice.
- Remember the Alternative Minimum Tax? Well, it’s still out there and it’s eating up the middle class at an astonishing rate.
- If you’re a fan of comic books and you own an iPad, the Graphicly app might just interest you. I’ve never been a big comic book reader, but there are are few I wouldn’t mind getting and I think that Graphicly might be my app of choice.
- Interesting: “Average iTunes user only listens to 19% of music library”. That tracks with my usage. Then again, I suspect the same headline could have been written about CDs, cassettes, or vinyl albums. (via Techmeme)
- Okay, Universe, now you’re just messing with me.
