Clearing the Browser Tabs – Defending Israel Sunday Edition
The biggest story of this week, from where I sit, was Barack Obama’s astonishing speech on Israel and the Middle East and the equally-astonishing history lecture he received from Benjamin Netanyahu in response.
I’m fairly sure that President Obama’s knowledge of the history of Israel is about as strong as that of the average dyed in the wool progressive. That is to say, it’s long on bogus stories of Israeli brutality and short on real history (to that, I highly recommend this longish article that sums up the matter of Israel’s borders from 1920 to today). I don’t like that the Prime Minister of Israel schooled the President of the United States on matters of history, but I like even less that he felt it so necessary.
And now, links!
- I’ve the distinct feeling that we’ll hear a whole lot less from the MSM about Track Palin than we have about Bristol.
- How good an education could you buy for $23,000 a year? Put your kid in a New Jersey public school and find out.
- Michael Steele will join the Chez Whitey progressive A-Team at MS-NBC as a guest political analyst. I can’t wait to hear what he thinks of Herman Cain.
- I do feel bad for the folks who were duped by Harold Camping’s heresy. Old Line elephant has about the best response to the non-Rapture I’ve seen today.
- Anyone want to give Moe Lane a little iPad help?
