The Delivery Presents – Panic at the Podcast

What happens when your Super Mega Producer e-mails you a few hours before the show to tell you that he has no internet connection? Why, you wrangle a Super Mega Fill-In Producer and carry on with Episode 94! Many thanks to Joe Guzman who jumped into the fray and did a great job. Did I mention that Joe does a couple podcasts of his own? They’re NSFW, but if that doesn’t fash you, check them out.

Joe also did a bit of a guest-turn in the second half, when I started playing God of All Sports and named a few things I’d remove from the Earth. One of the more interesting things I’ve learned with The Delivery is that I get a bigger reaction when I talk about sports than I do when I discuss politics. Sports is a touchstone in a way that Republican vs. Democrat just isn’t. Why? I can’t even begin to tell you. That’s just how we are.

You will get a bit of political relaxation in the first half as I whipped out the calendar and put the 2012 race into perspective. I also decided to tinker with the coming debates, since none of us want to endure 18 months of rigidly-structured, ultra-polite snoozefests where the pre-planned talking points flop around the stage like a basket of dying mackerels. I didn’t plan that bit of the segment, so if you like listening to an idea take form in real-time, well there you go.
