Clearing the Browser Tabs – Herman Cain Friday Edition
I have to admit, it’s a pretty good day when a Presidential candidate (okay, an almost-candidate) wishes you a Happy Birthday without prompting. I’m not the type to get easily starstruck and I think I’m fairly unusual among political bloggers insofar as I’m not terribly awed by famous politicians. However, Herman Cain isn’t a politician — as he made very clear to a number of us in a conference call last night. He is, however, a good man who has a real shot at being our next President and it was pretty cool of him to take a little time to wish me a happy day.
I’ll write up my notes on the call, including a number of quotes I furiously transcribed, some time tomorrow. Like last time, I have a lot to review and I need time to sort everything out. Cain had a lot of good things to say, and a couple things you might have not seen in the scant coverage the MSM has given him.
And now, links!
- Congrats to Troglopundit on his seventh year of blogging!
- While America demands “Drill here! Drill Now”, President Obama has other ideas altogether.
- Did the rich get richer over the past 30 years? Yep, and so did everyone else, by quite a lot.
- And while we’re on the subject of Reagan and economics, compare his recovery to the feeble excuse of the one we’re supposed to be in right now.
- It’s time for choice in education, as the teachers’ unions have never been weaker. And while we’re at it, let’s kill the noxious No Child Left Behind too.
- When all you watch is MS-NBC, you’re bound to have your news priorities twisted around the axle.
- April is mad at the TSA and she has very good reason. I can’t imagine why most of us aren’t on the verge of having a good, old-fashioned tar and feather party.
