Clearing the Browser Tabs – After a Great Weekend, the Monday Edition
I had such a good weekend that I hardly want it to end. The podcast Friday night went swimmingly (a post will come soon and you’ll want to jump on it!). I spent an intensely interesting few hours with a very smart man on Saturday evening and enjoyed dinner with some friends I had not seen in a long while on Sunday night. I’m not sure I could ask for anything more. Well, okay. Maybe I could ask that a project on which I recently worked come to a happy fruition, but that is out of my control. All I can do this morning is thank The Almighty for giving me another day to do the best I can.
And I think that’ll do just fine.
And now, links!
- Ed Driscoll linked to a pair of nifty columns this weekend, one by Jonah Goldberg and the other by Mark Steyn. Both are worthy of a lunchtime read today.
- Of all the earthquake videos I’ve seen from Japan over the past week or so, this one filled me with the most awe. It’s far from the flashiest, but if you really think about what you’re seeing, it’s pretty amazing.
- There is now no reason at all to see the remake of the classic movie Red Dawn.
- Somehow, PJTV has corralled many of my favorite people in the world and pays them to make great video productions. Here is the latest Kruiser Control with funny (and nice!) guy Stephen Kruiser.
- If this story reminds you of a certain Blue Eagle from back in the bad old days of FDR, you’re not alone.
- After the past month in Wisconsin, I never want to hear another progressive talk about how violent they think the political right is in this country. I don’t even want to hear a peep.
- Our little boys (and not so little boys) are in an awful lot of trouble these days, and we are largely to blame.
- Someone at Best Buy needs to figure out how to use social media well, and quickly too.
