Happy Pi Day, 2011!

| March 14, 2011 | Comments (0)

Looking back at my archives, I’ve found that I have celebrated every Pi Day since 2008. I’m not sure what that says about me, save that there can be no doubt that I am a ginormous geek. Still, if you have to celebrate a silly holiday, why not celebrate the one that comes with a tasty treat baked right in? Sift through the archives at the first link and you’ll find some interesting links to the whole history of Pi and some of its more interesting uses.

And if you really want to impress your friends and neighbors, you can learn how to use only Fibonacci numbers to calculate Pi. You know, in case you were lost for things to do on a lovely sunny day.

If that doesn’t appeal to you, why not just go on over to Obi’s Sister and wish my friend a happy blogging anniversary., She’s beginning her sixth year of blogging and has earned all our best wishes.
