Clearing the Browser Tabs – Unproductive Monday Edition
And so we begin the least-productive two weeks of the year. I, actually, will work most of the week, but I don’t know that I’ll get much actual work done. You know how that works. The mooks show up but the bosses have leave to burn and meetings to attend. Well, I, the faithful mook, will be there but my boss (who by the way is the best boss I’ve ever had) has to take some time off and will be tied up with other things. I hope your week won’t be quite as slow as mine. But hey, I’ll get some decent blogging out of the down-time, so that’s something!
And now, links!
- Politifact has officially jumped the shark, or whatever phrase you’d like to use instead of “shilled their brains out to the Democrats”, with its “Lie of the Year”.
- Nick Gillespie has been on fire lately. It all started with his humble proposal to reduce spending by a paltry 3.6 percent each year and has grown into this truly epic smackdown of professional ninny Jonathan Chait.
- Oh look, another foolish unforced error by Mitch McConnell and his Band of Senate Republicans. We might as well settle in for a series of disappointments for the next two years, because it seems like McConnell isn’t up for the tough fights.
- I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you’re counting on the TSA to keep you safe, you’re doomed.
- Who knew that yodeling was offensive to Muslims? More importantly, who wouldn’t be surprised to learn that another allegedly free nation has caved in to another fictitious outrage?\
- What’s prompting these new calls for civility? Moe Lane knows.
- He knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good or he’ll strafe your house!
- Here’s a handy guide to lunar eclipses, if you’re planning on catching the eclipse late tonight.
