Clearing the Browser Tabs – Stormy Sunday Edition
As I understand it, a good chunk of the Midwest is getting pummeled with a mid-December snowstorm so severe that the NFL moved the game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings to Monday night (7 PM, for those of you fantasy football folks whose teams are still in playoff contention). If you’re one of those folks socked in by the snow, be sure to stay warm, drink plenty of hot chocolate, and enjoy the links. If you’re like me, on the East Coast watching the storm system bear down on you, say a prayer or two that this won’t be the first of another year of Snovechkins.
And now, links!
- The new GOP majority hasn’t even taken office and already one of it’s newest, most promising members, is defending pork as, well, something to which she is entitled.
- Moe Lane on the Democrat who cussed the President out last week.
- It is impossible for a school system to be effective if the students are running it. This may be a controversial statement these days, but kids are dumb. That’s why we don’t let them vote, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or live by themselves. At some point soon, we adults will have to take back control of our schools or we will leave the world to a generation of morons.
- Stacy McCain is right. Mark McKinnon is an opportunistic weasel, which explains his prominent position at the head of the pukeworthy “No Labels” gang of milksops.
- In a semi-related story, the route to popularity on the Internet seems to involve being a Class A jerk. That, at least, explains Perez Hilton and Markos “Kos” Moulitsas.
- An interesting “manvotional” essay on ethics, habits, and manhood from 1861.
- Ah, Christmas, that magical time of year when we gather with friends and family, remember the birth of Our Blessed Savior, and…chase Romulans from the Neutral Zone?
