Clearing the Browser Tabs – Back to Blogging Thursday Edition
Yesterday turned out to be a far busier day than I reckoned, so I hope to make up for it today with several blog posts you’re sure to like. Until those hit the blog, check out some of the more interesting stories I’ve seen over the last couple of days.
- This week’s Trifecta is a particularly good one that jives very well with my recent post on Sarah Palin’s winning ways. In related news, the left has lost its ever-loving mind.
- The TSA: Keeping America safe from dangerous colon cancer surgery scars.
- Another task force report on how to reduce the debt, another report full of tax hikes, tax hikes, and did I mention the tax hikes?
- Speaking of corrupt bureaucrats who reward their campaign donors on the backs of the taxpayer, Harry Reid’s “top individual career donor” is now his new chief of staff. Somehow I don’t think he’ll be working for $60,000 a year.
- Jim VandeHei says of Politico’s new subscriber-only news service Politico Pro, “We’re going to dig really deep… really cover what’s happening.” So what, exactly, were he and his compatriots doing at the Politico before, phoning it in? (via Mediagazer)
- There are advantages to living outside the Beltway even if you have to work inside it. One of them is that you don’t slowly lose touch with reality.
- If you’re going to accuse someone of a lack of “intellectual curiosity”, you should be very sure that you don’t have your job due largely to corrupt, multi-generational nepotism scheme. Smart people usually don’t have their jobs handed to them by their Daddies.
- When the dirtbags of the Westboro Baptist Church show up to protest the dirtbags at the Dearborn Islamic Center, the only thing worth rooting for is a meteor strike.
