Clearing the Browser Tabs – Spectacular Saturday
Tomorrow is Hallowe’en and there was no chance I would let you get away without seeing my favorite pop song of all time — Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London”. This may well be the cheesiest video I’ve ever seen and, if you watch closely, you’ll see that Zevon probably knew that while he was making it. Also, where else can you see a werewolf strutting with a cane?
Nowhere. That’s where.
If you like that, and I do hope you did, here’s a very good live version Zevon recorded not but a couple years before his death on Later with Jools Holland. There is also some cool trivia about who wrote the song and played with Zevon on the track. If you’re interested, I’ll drop that in the comments.
Now on to the links!
- Are things going so badly for the Democrats that even Dennis Kucinich is in trouble? He usually wins with 60+ percent of the vote. If he’s in the 50s, even the mid-50s in a rock-solid safe seat, that’s very bad news for the Democrats.
- Why is Julian Assange still alive?
- Okay, so Google was under FTC investigation, then a company exec held a $1.8 million fundraiser for the Democratic Party, and now Google is no longer under investigation. Gosh, that’s a heck of a coincidence.
- Yep, blame the kids, Matt Lauer. That’s always a smart thing right before an election.
- The third quarter GDP numbers came in and we only managed 2 percent growth. That’s not going to cut it. Shame our ruling party knows so little about jobs and growth.
- No, Jim, I have no idea what the Democratic Party has against black Senate candidates.
