Clearing the Browser Tabs – Blame Canada Friday Edition

I’m going to give you one link, a pretty important one, all by itself today. Kathy Shaidle’s husband has been sued by legal menace Richard Warman for the horrible crime of linking to a Mark Steyn article. Yeah, that’s how it works up there in Canada. Some guy can use his country’s lack of free speech as his own personal weapon to shut people up he doesn’t like. I don’t doubt they’ll win the case — Warman doesn’t sue to win, but to bully, harass, and impoversh — but it’s going to cost them. Please give whatever help you can and spread the word.

• When President Obama’s Justice Department isn’t suing its own people or working overtime to avoid prosecuting voter intimidation laws, it’s busy giving itself over 300 different awards. I wonder if one of them was the First Annual Eric Holder Award for  Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence?
• Dan Collins has a found a number of seemingly-unrelated events that have his Spidey-sense tingling. Is there some Democratic financial monkey business afoot or is he seeing just a bunch of happy circumstances that just coincidentally happen to reward a party about to take a historic electoral beating?
• One day, probably after we finish digging a thousand or so corpses out of a subway tunnel devastated by bomb blasts, we’re be able to freely admit we have a Muslim problem. Until then, though, beware the Lutheran Soccer Mom Tea Partier Menace!
• Poisoned candy? Stranger danger? Bollocks! Remember when Hallowe’en was a big block party? Let the kids go Trick or Treat and stop being such a smothering killjoy.
• How about a few stunning pictures of The Sun, not taken by a bazillion-dollar space telescope?
