Genius! John Kerry “Helps” Barney Frank by Calling MA Voters Ignorant.

If you’re wondering why, with his many decades of experience and progressive views so far out in left field that he’s standing in the bullpen, John Kerry isn’t more involved in the Democratic leadership, let this be a reminder to you.

A testy U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blamed clueless voters with short attention spans for the uphill battle beleaguered Democrats are facing against Republicans across the nation.

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,” Kerry told reporters after touring the Boston Medical Center yesterday.

He appears to be upset that Barney Frank, his good friend and corrupt architect of the mortgage debacle, is in very real danger of losing to an upstart named Sean Bielat. Bielat is a conservative Republican with a ridiculously strong resume and rapidly growing grassroots support. Things have gotten so bad that Frank won’t even show up to debate Bielat, which isn’t exactly a move filled with confidence. Arrogance, perhaps, but not real confidence.

Then again, arrogance is what the Democrats in Congress have in surplus. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that in an unguarded moment, John Kerry lets slip his real belief that the electorate is composed primarily of ignorant boobs. That has been his belief, and that of his party, all along. Of course, it’s not politic for them to say so, which is why you don’t often see much of Long John these days.
