Well, At Least the MSM Vetted Somebody.

Thanks to GQ, we know that Rand Paul, Republican candidate for Senate from Kentucky, was a pretty ordinary college student. The most salacious revelation from GQ’s probing article, that Paul “kidnapped” a fellow student and forced her to smoke marijuana, turned out to be complete bunk. What we’re left with is that Paul was a young knucklehead who liked to smoke pot, was incredibly smart, and belonged to a pseudo-frat for smart, uncool kids.

I really don’t see this as much of a story (though the Paul campaign does), except for one pesky little thing. We now know more about the college days of a Republican Senatorial candidate than we do about the President of the United States, even though the President has been in front of us for almost four years.
