Messiah Fever: Catch It!

What is it with world leaders and Messianic Complexes? You expect such delusion out of petty tyrants like Hugo Chavez or Mad Mahmoud — megalomania is pretty much baked right into tyranny. On the other hand, it’s more than a little unusual when expressed by a President or a mostly-powerless Western monarch.

I guess heroic delusions are catching these days.

The Prince of Wales says he believes he has been placed on Earth as future King ‘for a purpose’ – to save the world.

Giving a fascinating insight into his view of his inherited wealth and influence, he said: ‘I can only somehow imagine that I find myself being born into this position for a purpose.’

Can’t we stick these guys in a clean room for a few months until they’re no longer contagious? I’d hate for this illness to spread any farther than it has.
