You Want Post-Racial?

I got your post-racial politician right here.

Allen West is a formidable man. Do not be surprised, even a tiny bit, if you see him make a serious run for the White House in 2016 should the GOP fail to take it in 2020 2012. I do not doubt that he will be a substantial figure in the party very soon.

UPDATE: I knew that I meant to say, but it didn’t end up working out the way I planned. Numbers are hard!

  1. I discovered Allen West about 2 years ago and was moved by this man. From his early childhood, schools, his Army career, his clear logic. He brings hope where none exist. I just pray that Washington does not change him.

Also, I picked up a story that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation disinvited him from a function they are having. My daughter died from Cystic Fibrosis and it sickened me that the CFF played politics. They will never see a dime from me. Sorry about ranting, I have not contacted the CFF b/c the pain is just too great. I thought someone with such integrity and unshakeable core values like Allen West would only add to the Cystic Fibrosis cause.

If Allen West can decide whether to run for election in 2016 based on the results of the 2020 election, then he is indeed a formidable man; he has mastered the whole time-space continuum…thing.

    I'm sure you meant 2012….

I probably should have explained that better (and I fixed the date, to clarify what was a really confusing paragraph).

He's not in a good position to run for the White House in 2012, since he'll only have one term the House. The earliest he could reasonably run is 2016, but if the GOP wins the WH in 2012, it wouldn't be very wise to make his first Presidential campaign an effort to unseat an incumbent (unless, of course, the incumbent is horrible) which pushes him back to 2020. If President Obama wins a second term, then he may run in 2016.

People have run and won with less. Just sayin'.
