Funny. Making Jeremiah Wright Happy Isn’t In the Oath of Office.
I must admit, I’m baffled by how this administration is using the Justice Department to uphold our Constitution. We have gotten a pretty confusing message in the past few days from what behaviors Eric Holder and President Obama have sanctioned and what they want to prevent.
For example, it is quite all right with this administration for a violent bigot to threaten and curse at you as you try to vote. On the other hand, Obama and Holder consider it the very definition of villanous oppression for a police officer to ask for your identification on a traffic stop if his purpose is to make sure you aren’t breaking our immigration laws.
Perhaps, though, they’re not terribly concerned about the Constitution as much as they are devoted to serving the mentors of their past. I’m sure Jeremiah Wright is smiling with approval right now.
