Oompa Loompa Doopity Dendent; Charlie’s Gonna Run as a Maverick Independent
Birds gotta fly, cats gotta sing, Charlie Crist’s gotta be a puffed-up, egomaniacal jerk.
Sabato expects Crist to hit the trail as an independent with a new message: “Me against the machines.” That message, he says, could resonate. “He’ll use that idea to portray the Obama machine on one side and the national GOP machine on the other. It’s an odd year. You do have that anti-incumbency feeling out there. It would be amusing if Crist became the outsider because of this, as the incumbent governor. While ‘Crist versus the machines’ may sound funny, remember, ‘man versus machine’ has won a lot of races throughout American history.”
The only person who believes that Charlie Crist, who has been collecting establishment endorsements like an 8-year old kid collects Pokemon, can run as an anti-establishment outsider is Charlie Crist.
And so the World’s Tallest Oompa-Loompa has decided that he doesn’t want to actually run in a competetive primary where Florida Republicans, who he has been wooing with all the fervor of a drugged sloth, could bruise his fragile ego with a resounding defeat. He’s going maverick and will take his beating as an independent (via memeorandum). Of course, he won’t be giving back all the millions of dollars Republican donors gave him when Crist was the darling of the NRSC because, though he may hold Republican voters in contempt, he loves their money.

"the World’s Tallest Oompa-Loompa" What gave him away? The skin tone? The eyebrows? Perhaps his unfettered gaiety?
In any case, if Charlie wants to solidify the perception that he is a slime bucket opportunist who am I to interfere? The sooner he gets on with this the sooner my state can be done with him.
Marco is going to kick his ass.
