He's hardly my hero and he does ignore her, it was the interviewer who brought her and her "criticism" up.

Did you realize that Palin’s critique is pretty puerile and shows clearly and once again that her grasp of the issue is rather limited?

I assume you're looking at definition 2. What did Obama say?

Now while I confess I don't know everything about Sarah Palin I don't recall anyone, even her biggest fans on Fox or elsewhere suggesting that she's an expert in anything much less nuclear issues. There is nothing in her educational, professional or personal background that even hints of her having any more knowledge on nuclear issues than your average citizen. If there is something in her CV that shows otherwise no one has mentioned it

If you watch the whole thing he then says that he has advisers WHO ARE experts and they signed off on it. He's clearly saying that he listens to people who know about this stuff rather than people who don't.

Now if you want to offer a smart rebuttal to his statement you could say "Big deal, those advisers, they work for him, he's the President! What? They're going to so say no?" and then you could possibly read the treaty and offer some substantial criticism based on fact rather than naked partisan nonsense.

But that smacks of effort so we'll speak of it no more.

In the year and some since the campaign it's expected that Obama has learnt more about nuclear issues, he would have certainly been briefed not only by the outgoing administration but the military as well. He would also have at his fingertips the vast resources and accumulated knowledge of decades of experience and countless experts to draw on so he’d ramp up pretty quick.

So it’s all but certain that he has more knowledge on nuclear issues than Palin who spent the time since the campaign being on TV and quitting her job.
