The Delivery Presents – My First Audio Listener Mailbag!

| March 31, 2010 | Comments (2)

What’s this? An episode of The Delivery not released on a Wednesday and so much shorter than the others? What sort of deviltry can this be?

While working on my first promo for the show, I asked one of my friends, who I knew from Twitter, to join SMP Mike and I on Skype to give us her opinion. As it was a slow day and none of us had anything pressing to do, SMP Mike thought it would be fun if we did a little mini-sode where she asked me why I decided to become a podcaster. The answer reveals the origin of the show, my lifelong desire to be a baseball play-by-play announcer, and my ambitions for the show.

It’s not at all the most polished show I’ve done (heck, I even forgot to toss in my show opening), but I think it worked out pretty well and we’ll probably do a few more of them, as opportunities present themselves.

Go listen and don’t forget to say hello to Kirstie (@kfred) and tell her what a good job she did on very short notice.

Agreed, agreed and agreed. But, since this was a "mailbag", I was expecting dozens of letters you would be responding to ala the "Professor" John Clayton on ESPN.com

Kirstie did good but that was in the second agreed above.

I haven't gotten dozens of letters quite yet. Actually, I haven't gotten my first dozen.

But I'm thinking of actively asking for more letters so I can do a Claytonesque mailbag feature. Perhaps I'll find a really easy way for people to leave messages.
