The Warrior and The Weasel
Here are a couple video highlights from yesterday’s proceedings in the House of Representatives that tell you pretty much all you need to know about the two parties’ postitions on Obamacare.
First up is John Boehner, House Minority Leader, taking Democrats to the woodshed for voting on a bill they hadn’t even read and (again) breaking their promise to be transparent and honest with the American people. Note how loudly the majority squeals in discomfort at being called out in public.
Next is Bart Stupak, who decided his principles were worth a $750,000 bribe to improve three airports in his district. He rose to speak in opposition to his own amendment, or rather, the amendment that he sold for three-quarters of a million dollars in pork. That’s not the most egregious part of his speech, though. What makes Stupak a true weasel is that he lied when he says that millions have been denied health care. That is simply not true. Our medical professionals — hundreds of thousands of doctors and nurses in thousands upon thousands of hospitals, doctors’ offices, and clinics — have always given care to those in need, health insurance or no. As we’ve already seen, even Barack Obama’s human props can get health care even though they don’t have health insurance.
One of the good things about this health care debate is that we are now clearly able to discern those who are willing to fight for your freedom and your ability to choose from those weasels who would sell you for cheap.

Stupid-pak is going down in November and rightfully so. His theatrics this past few weeks have been despicable. He was going to vote for it all along and used the helpless unborn as props for his lies. The man has no shame.
Be careful about throwing that "weasel" name around. There's a courageous band of warriors who proudly carry the name "Wild Weasels". They were the fighter pilots in F-100F, F-105F & G and F-4C & G aircraft fitted with radar sensing gear who were first-in/last-out of the high threat SAM environments of N. Vietnam and then Iraq.
But, I agree fully with your sentiments.
Society of Wild Weasels #2488.
Bart Stupak is merely a weasel. There's nothing wild about him. Or brave. Or honorable.
You were a Wild Weasel?? I've read about them. What you didn't say (surely an oversight!) is that they specifically went hunting SAM sites to clear the way for other aircraft. They wanted to be seen so they could shoot back. You have my most sincere admiration.

I was a Weasel wingman, part of the dedicated hunter/killer teams. I flew F-105D on the wing of F-100F Weasels, F-105F Weasels in 1966. I flew F-4E with F-105G Weasels and F-4C Weasels during Linebacker I/II in '72. Thanks for noting, Jimmie.
