Kucinich Flips: Presidential Pressure or a Doghouse Threat? (I Vote Doghouse)
Is it just me or does Dennis Kucinich look like someone’s off-stage holding a gun on him? Kucinich announced yesterday that he will be voting for the ginormous Obamacare bill even though it violates about a bazillion of his most cherished progressive principles. Okay, he didn’t say that last part, but you can read that bit in his dead, beaten eyes.
Allah suggests that the President’s pressure on Kucinich’s home turf was the proximate cause of his flip. I’m not all that sure. The President doesn’t have an actual track record as being a persuader. I think the reason for his come-to-totalitarianism moment was a lot closer to home.
That is Elizabeth Kucinich, Dennis’ statuesque, British, red-headed, ultra-liberal wife. You think she might have mentioned that he’d be sleeping in the guest bedroom until he started pulling his weight for the cause? Yeah, shake that magic 8-Ball again. Any answer but “”Without A Doubt” is just the mystic energies of the universe lying to your face.
