Conservatives Aren’t Embracing Massa, But We Are Egging Him On.

Both John McCormack and Michelle Malkin are warning conservatives today not to cuddle up too closely to Eric Massa. Their advice is good, but I don’t honestly know which conservatives have embraced Massa and his truckload of insanity (and examples, even in the MSM, are thin on the ground). Glenn Beck doesn’t count. He isn’t a conservative but some Chimaeric blend of libertarian, contrarian, populist, sandwich board-wearing homeless guy, and sideshow barker.

For those of you who don’t swim the crazy waters of politics, Eric Massa is a Democratic House member from New York who has decided that if he’s going down for his sexual predations, he’s taking the Democratic leadership and the White House with him.

It very nearly goes without saying that no conservative in their right mind would buddy up with Massa. He is, as Michelle Malkin amply illustrates, an Class A Numero Uno Cretin who could care less about his constituents so long as he gets his. Well, he’s getting his right now, good and hard, and we on the right shouldn’t feel compelled to help him, no matter who is administering his beating.

In fact, what we should be doing is hanging his truckload of crazy around the necks of his former bosom buddies Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Rahn Emanuel, and Barack Obama. We should be reminding our friends and neighbors that, right up until he became no longer polically convenient, our Democratic Overlords loved Eric Massa and encouraged him to flip off his constituents. We should remind them that Pelosi and Hoyer knew about Massa’s sexual harassment and what happened to the last Speaker of the House who covered up her subordinate’s predatory behavior. We should be asking what kind of man takes off his clothes and goes into the shower to assault another naked man and, more importantly, what sort of man hires that sort of man.

I don’t know any credible conservative who is embracing Massa, but I know a few more who should be pointing and laughing at the long-hidden Democratic hypocrisy and corruption that Massa is eagerly exposing.
