If government-run health care is so popular (as the Democrats contend) why are over half of individual states trying to insulate their citizens from its mandates by amending their Constitutions?

While Virginia enacted a statute, 25 other states are considering constitutional changes, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Virtually all the proposals object to mandates requiring individuals or businesses to buy health insurance.

“That is a widespread, common theme,” said Richard Cauchi, program director for the NCSL health program. “The real legal issue is the requirement that every person buy health insurance.”

Clearly, your state government hates you. See, the Democrats have said, loudly with without an ounce of shame, that why anyone opposes their completely awesome Health Care For Everyone is blinding hatred. The truckloads of money the health insurance industry sends every week to your state capitol (all 50 of them!) certainly helps, but really, it’s the hatred.

So what are we poor citizens, trod underfoot by the hateful greed of our state governments to do? To whom can we turn, forlorn and alone? What stalwart soul will rescue us from the horrid fate of dying, sick and unmedicated, in an offal-filled ditch?

Oh, right. Him.
