Today, RFC Radio Gets a Special Delivery!
If you were around the Radio for Conservatives chatroom last Wednesday night at 9 PM, you might have noticed that The Delivery didn’t air. Instead, we got a double shot of Jenny Erikson’s Smart Girl Report show. I didn’t find out about the missing broadcast until the next time, by which time Thomas LaDuke, RFC Programming Guru Extraordinare, had approached me with a novel and very cool idea. He suggested, to make up for the missing show, that I give them five of my best shows to date which would then run today for the five hours from 4 PM to 9 PM. I quickly agreed and so was born the greatest internet radio programming idea since…well…ever!
DeliveryPalooza: Five Hours of Politics and Pop Culture Goodness
I picked and programmed with lineup with what I think are my five best shows (chosen, by the way, not because I was particularly good, but because my guests in each show rocked the mic harder than Reverend Run). Here is what you’ll get today, based on the order I gave the RFC folks last night. Remember, my guests appear in the second half of the show (with the exceptions as noted).
- 4 PM: Episode 16 (Dec 16, 2009) with Ed Driscoll on the movies of Stanley Kubrik.
- 5 PM: Episode 8 (Oct 21, 2010) with Melissa Clouthier for the full hour!
- 6 PM: Episode 25 (Feb 17, 2010) with Darryl Johnson of Mr. Groove Band on music and making it.
- 7 PM: Episode 22: (Jan 27, 2010) with CA Senatorial Candidate Chuck DeVore on social media and alternate history fiction.
- 8 PM: Episode 27 (Mar 3, 2010) with Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks on The Grateful Dead and entrepreneurship.
I hope you’ll tune in for at least part of the evening. I’ll be making random appearances int he RFC Radio chat room (in between writing assignments and other work I must get done this evening). I hope to see you there!
