Even Dead, Ronald Reagan Eats the Progressives’ Lunch
So, you say conservatism is dead? Sure, pal. Keep right on holding that security blanket.
I make no secret of the fact that I believe Ronald Reagan to be the greatest president in U.S. history.
But imagine my surprise this morning when I saw a new poll saying that a majority of New Jersey residents agree with me!. The most popular President in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey is Ronald Reagan?
Am in an episode of The Twilight Zone?
Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey asked New Jerseyans to name their favorite U.S. president, living or dead. A majority picked Ronald Reagan. Bill Clinton came in second.
The Obamessiah came in fifth. His uber-socialist mentor, Franklin Roosevelt, was sixth.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that, thanks to progressive policies, New Jersey’s budget is on the verge of a fiscal fourfold crossrip. Fortunately, the people of the Garden State elected someone willing to cross the streams by demanding that the state stop spending money it doesn’t have and start getting rid of the cruft, graft, pork, and corruption that has it on the edge of disaster. Hopefully when he’s done, New Jersey will be lean, mean, and on its way out of recession and into an economic boom.
Hmm…using conservative economic principles to turn a recession into a boom? Where have I seen that before…?
Oh yeah, right. That guy who, dead almost six years now, is still making progressives look foolish.

This suggests a blog post series on presidents, ranked for their support of State's rights.
That would lead to a bit of a reshuffle, no?
Perhaps. You'd have to set up a solid introductory post on just what you mean by states' rights, though.
