Crom Laughs at Your Snowpocalypse. Laughs From His Satellite!
I’ve seen perhaps a hundred snow storm photos from Twitter friends in and around DC, but none of them quite reach the level of awesomeness of this photo taken by NASA’s Terra satellite.
If you’re curious, I’m about a quarter inch south of the “C” in “DC”.
There are some other great photos available from Danny Glover and Sean Hackbarth. I’ve been snowed in since Friday night. I believe I’ll be able to make it out of my drive tomorrow for work (the plow did a desultory but probably adequate job of making at least a passable path), but if not, I probably won’t see civilization until Monday night. Ten years ago, this would have made me more than a little crazy, but since I’ve been blessed with uninterrupted electricity and an internet connection, it’s not been bad at all.
Also, this.

Whew – you are lucky. I know a couple of people in Virginia and the electricity has been in and out. But yeah, it isn't so bad being stuck at home when you have all the creature comforts. Stay warm!
I was sweating a power failure because I knew I'd be stuck in place until at least today. Thank God the lights didn't even blink.
