New at NewsReal Blog: Me!
I have started blogging at the very fine NewsReal Blog, started by David Horowitz, someone I’ve admired for a few years now. My friend Michael van der Galien is the Assistant Managing Editor there and he very enthusiastically recommended that I come on board. It’s a good site and I’d like to be an important part of it. As of now, I’m writing there for free (which, believe me, is not the position I want to be in for very long), but they’re considering my posts more or less a working audition. If I write well and bring in gobs of traffic, they’ll take me on as a paid member of the staff, which is where I want to be.
I wrote a post for the site this morning about the President’s penchant for wanting to be my Daddy. It’s fairly short, a little witty, and seasoned with some choice snark. My first post, on the infectiousness of Keith Olbermann’s insanity, is there as well and is one of the few pieces I’ve written lately that made me laugh while I was writing it. It’s not everyday you get to use the phrase “Dr. Insano McBugnuts”.
