Saturday Afternoon Bits and Bobs

Here are a few stories that have hit my inbox in the past couple of days that I know I won’t get around to including in full-blown blog posts. However, they’re good links, so how about a put them into a big ol’ roundup?

* When the going gets tough, the tough astroturf. Mystery letter-write Ellie Light has appeared in at least 45 different newspapers in 18 different states this week. In each of them, she claims a different state of residence. David Axelrod’s dishonesty is back!

* And so is David Plouffe. Barack Obama’s getting the old campaign band back together. I guess running the country is on hold for a while so he can get back to doing the only thing he’s ever done well (via memeorandum).

* Apparently, having two smoking-hot daughters and a smoking-hot wife is something the left finds worthy of ridicule. I don’t get it. Are they saying that only progressives can be attractive or it this some attack so subtle that we of merely average intelligence can’t possible understand its brilliance?

* Carol of No Sheeples Here has launched a new site featuring her Photoshop art. You can use anything she posts, free of charge, so long as you give her the appropriate linky love.

* Stacy McCain tore it up in Massachusetts over the past couple of weeks. Here’s a roundup of his stories from what was arguably Ground Zero for the political story of the year. He has a tip jar that could use some vigorous hitting, too.

* Who actually gave the order that allowed Islamist soldier Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to lawyer up? Signs are pointing to one person.

* Blue on Blue is sweet, even if it was only a love-tap.
