I Love It When A Remake Comes Together
As I said in the last episode of The Delivery, filmmakers make a big mistake when they try to “update” an 80s action show or cartoon for a modern audience. They tend to forget that cheesiness was an integral part of most of those shows. When you treat a show far more seriously than it should be, you lose the sense of fun that made them worth watching in the first place and you get a movie like “Miami Vice”.
That said, the trailer for the new A-Team movie looks promising. You can see the cheese cooked right into it. I admit, I was skeptical about the casting of the movie, and it may be that they made a couple mistakes, but it looks pretty good so far. Besides, who can resist those opening four notes of the theme song and the narration I can darned-near quote from memory.

It looks good. Most remakes are just slapping the name of the remake on a completely different product and pretending it is this same.
The trailer, at least, looks like it kept the important parts of the old stuff.
I loved this show when I was little–so I was going to see it regardless–even though I can't stand Bradley Cooper.
My brother groaned when he saw Cooper, too. I haen't seen enough of him to know whether he's a good fit or not.
Also, you have such a delightful way of making me feel so very old.
