A Picture is Worth A Thousand Whines
I’m afraid I really don’t understand the latest kerfuffle that has lefty attack-poodle Andrew Sullivan going after Glenn Reynolds for…well, who knows what the heck goes on in Andrew Sullivan’s head most days. The guy is more flighty than Mary Poppins at a tornado party and I can’t remember the last time he had a thought more sophisticated than “conservatives are TEH EVIL!!!!!!1!”.
What the whole thing comes down to is the vaunted White House cool kids who, we were told ad nauseum, are so smart they could cure cancer while playing Scrabble in cuneiform at the same time know exactly jack about image control. Well, that’s not true. They know a lot about image control in a campaign, but nothing about image control in a free and open government, where they don’t control all the avenues of communication and anyone can look at the images they provide and interpret the message they send without the spin provided by their media lapdogs.
There’s more to this, of course. The left has no end of grievance with anyone who questions the supremacy of the President, thogh they never couch their objections in honest terms. As Little Miss Attila found out, they always have their special card at hand, ready to deal out at a moment’s notice. Unfortunately for them, LMA plays a different game, where that card isn’t the joker the left thinks it is.
