There are weeks when I really need to do a lot of show prep for an episode of The Delivery This week was not one of them. Last night, the topic of discussion arrayed itself in front of me like a sumptuous meal, just begging me to dig in (listen, download, iTunes). I could easily have done the full hour on the SpeedoBomber and why the failings of our homeland security systems and personnel mean that conservatives are dead-on right about limited government.
I didn’t, though, because I like my split format and if I had gone all Umar all the time, I wouldn’t have gotten to talk about Jerry Jones and brain injuries. Somehow I resisted the urge to link the two together. It’s a Christmastime Miracle!
I’m kicking around a couple ideas to get The Delivery in front of more folks, including some sort of video component or a self-recorded “pregame” show. Listener numbers from iTunes are very encouraging — the show is growing steadily from week to week and it even gets mentions on a couple of the other TTR shows (Right this Way and Out in Right Field just this week, for example) — but I haven’t really pushed the show across the web much at all. I could always use more help to spread the word (and gave a few ways you can do that at the beginning of the second half).
