How have the narratives failed in 2009? Let The Rhetorician count the ways.
Ed Driscoll suggests there are likely a few more. I can think of one more. Whatever happened to that whole “most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history” narrative? It seems to have disappeared as quickly as ethics investigations against various Democratic members of Congress or the public’s opinion of the Democrats’ basic sense of honesty (via Patriot Room).
