I brought in Stephen Green for the second half of the show to talk music, especially Christmas music and I must say, I could easily have done two hours with him, just talking music. He’s a very smart guy and a great guest. You’re going to love listening to him, especially if you have a soft spot in your heart for really old-school music (which I do!). Also, the episode of “Trifecta” that Steve mentioned is here. Good stuff. I’ll have to see what I can do to get Bill Whittle on the show some time.

Speaking of guests, I’m lining up a couple more for this month. I’m finding I really like having my guests in the second half of the show. I’m fortunate to know a number of very smart and funny people who are mainly known for more serious political writing and broadcasting. I think that talking politics all the time is boring, though, and my aim is to bring as many of those smart and funny people on the show to talk about other things that tickle their fancy. It’s a radio niche I don’t think anyone has really filled (CSPAN’s Q and A show comes the closest) and, when I think about it, it’s the sort of radio I’d love to hear. Who doesn’t like intelligent and entertaining people talking about things they really love?

So stay tuned. Big news on that front is coming.

Don’t forget that you can listen to the show on RFC Radio on Thursday nights at 9 PM. There’s a chat room and, thus far, I’ve managed to make it for most of the hour. There are a bunch of good folks who hang out in there, so if you’re around the computer at that time, tune in and chat with us!
