EPA Declares Air Dangerous; Sets the Table for Theft.

Oh, who needed the whole democracy thing anyhow?

The Environmental Protection Agency has concluded greenhouse gases are endangering people’s health and must be regulated, signaling that the Obama administration is prepared to contain global warming without congressional action if necessary. …

Under a Supreme Court ruling, the so-called endangerment finding is needed before the EPA can regulate carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases released from power plants, factories and automobiles under the federal Clean Air Act.

As Ed notes, this is the first time in history that our government has declared a naturally-occurring substance, something we must have to live, a danger to our lives.

I can not say this strongly enough, this EPA determination is based on an outright fraud. It’s not based on even an elementary-school understanding of how science works.

It is, however, based on a very clear understanding of how totalitarians work. Consider this just another way for progressives to get their hands on aspects of your life they could never control using the normal democratic process. What freedom and choice you will not give them, they are prepared to steal from you.

Let me say this as clearly as possible.
Your life is not in danger from atmospheric CO2.
The lives of your children are not in danger from atmospheric CO2.
The lives of your grandchildren are not in danger from atmospheric CO2.

The science, no matter what the climate change cultists say, is not settled. However, your liberty may well be.

UPDATE: The Heritage Foundation has some boots on the ground in Copenhagen. This post, on just how far the EPA is overreaching, is a good start to their coverage.

  1. JoeCitizen says:

my liberty may well be….settled? What does that mean?

Hmmm. An incoherent ending to an incoherent rant.
