American culture scores another convert!

What was more, though, ESPNAmerica also spends a whole lot of time to American Football. I had seen Football games in the past, and liked them, but never had the opportunity to watch it regularly. Now I did.

It only took me three weeks or so to become positively addicted. I’m looking forward to the weekend all week long. I’ve especially become fan of Brett Favre and his Minnesota Vikings – the best quarterback in the NFL, and possibly the best team. But other teams can also count on my sympathy. Do I even have to mention the undefeated Indianapolis Colts and the, also undefeated, New Orleans Saints? Two great teams, of course. The same goes, albeit to a slightly lesser degree, for the Dallas Cowboys, the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers. So many great teams, so many great players, so much action, so much awesome plays every single week, time and again.

Man, I’m hooked!

Welcome aboard, Michael! Hopefully you’ll ditch the Cowboys for a football team that isn’t laden with the sulfurous stench of the Pit. I’d offer my Own Beloved Redskins as an alternative, but they’re really not a very good team with which to start your fandom. On the other hand, they have no place to go but up, so if you get on the bandwagon now, you could be rewarded later!

One Response to “Chalk Another One Up to Exporting America!”

Thanks, Jimmie and LOL! True enough, I guess. They’re actually a sympathetic team; they’re struggling, but haven’t lost the faith (yet). They’re not giving up on themselves, or that’s at least the impression I’m getting. They deserve respect for that.

Having said that, I think I’ll opt for the winners right now ;) Rooting for a team that loses time and again at this point in time may just be a bit too frustrating.

BTW: this is also a very enjoyable sport is you don’t support any one specific team, in my experience.
