If Only the President Had A Beer-Swilling Brother.

This is starting to look awfully familiar:

• We’re in the middle of an extended economic “malaise”.
• Our President, hailed for his pleasant demeanor and ability to put people at ease is getting the back of the hand from friends and enemies alike (via memeorandum).
• The Islamist tyrants in Iran answer our weak pleas for diplomacy with displays of strength and arrogance.
• Realpolitik, containing and propping up tyrants instead of resisting and opposing them is the first rule of American foreign policy.

And now, in a truly unfortunate coincidence for the President, Three Mile Island is back in the news.

To be fair, all this stuff came to a head in the last year of the Carter administration instead of the first. In that regard, President Obama is certainly an overachiever.
