Episode 7 of The Delivery is ready to roll and my SuperMegaProducer Mike tells me it’s one of the best yet. Well, who can argue with a SuperMegaProducer? You can download the show or listen to it live here or subscribe to it on iTunes here.
My subject matter, in both halves, wandered a bit all over the map this week. That’s okay so far as I’m concerned because it was interesting wandering, at least to me. Normally, I do a pretty healthy amount of show-prep (though it’s far from Limbaugh-esque) but this week was an exception. I think it turned out well, trust me. After all, it’s not every podcast host who can turn a rant about the owner of his favorite football team into a bit of life-affirming self-help.
Also, I introduced my first contest in this episode. the rules are pretty simple. If you want what I’m giving away, leave a comment here (please, use a valid e-mail address, so I can contact you and get your address!) or send me e-mail. Make sure I can tell from the subject line that the e-mail is about the contest. I’ll be picking two names at random from the entries to get the goodies and I’ll get them out in the mail on Thursday evening in time to get to you by Saturday morning so you have time to get in on the world record.
Want to know what I’m giving away? Well, you’ll have to listen to the podcast, won’t you?
The mid-show song, which I love, is Ain’t Nothing Wrong with That by Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
Here is the link to Dr. Melissa Clouthier’s column at AIP. It’s well worth reading.
Here is the article from the humor-impaired Glenn Thrush about the humor-impaired Democratic Party.

Jimmie,
Great podcast as always. I enjoy the mix of political and light and easy fare.
Nice rant on the last BBR too! @Rightgirl approved to be sure!
later,
A.J.
Oh ya, DVD contest!
I really enjoy your radio broadcasts. I will have to look past the fact you’re a Redskins fan though, I am an Eagles fan myself. Just kidding, sort of … I probably won’t throw snow balls at you or boo you.
You made a great point at the end about supporting and being supported. Asking for help is one of my personal downfalls, I hate to bother people. As you said though, you help as many as you can and the good comes back to you when you need it. Those that don’t say more about themselves. Speaking of, thanks very much for the link the other day. I appreciated it very much and will gladly return the favor.
geeat episode. hope its not too late to enter the contest
I’m diggin’ the podcasts. Keep the good work coming. And, also, take your time coming back to the blogging world. I’m sure you remember when I took my break, and I’m sure you remember what you said to me. Take your own words of advice and come back when you’re ready.
Oh. For your next podcast musical intermission, how about you play one of your guilty pleasures? Surely you must have something in your musical library that you’d be embarrassed over if someone found out you had it.
So am I completely out of it? What was the Jeopardy question?
Also, what is this contest you speak of? Can you tell I am only 18 minutes and 50 seconds into the podcast?
