Vadum’s Dropping Bombs like the Gap Band

Matthew Vadum just dropped a bomb on ACORN that would make even a 70s supergroup say OWW! He published a memorandum, several months old, from a law firm that had conducted an inspection of the activist web’s operations and recommended a number of urgently-needed reforms. It is the Holy Grail for those of us who have wanted a close look into the internal operations of a group that gets millions of dollars of taxpayer money.

As it happens, and quite by design I’m sure, ACORN put exactly none of the recommendations in place. Instead, Bertha Lewis fired several members of the board after they urged ACORN to provide paperwork related to the massive amount of extortion committed by the brother of ACORN’s founder. Ironically, one of the reforms the memo considered “critical” was a “whistle blower policy”. I guess that ACORN’s policy is that whistle-blowers should be fired.

Vadum links details of that document with his considerable knowledge of ACORN’s operations. It is very much worth your time this evening. ACORN is the progressive left’s flagship activist group, and has been for a very long time. Its budget easily runs over a hundred millions dollars and every penny of that is devoted to the Cloward-Piven Strategy of overloading and collapsing various systems of our government.

I wonder if anything in this memo might pique the interest of a prosecuting attorney looking to hang a RICO pelt on his office wall?
