Blog Break, Baseball, and the Blues
I’m taking a day or so off from the blogging grind (as you probably noticed). I spent the lat two evenings at the ballpark watching my new favorite baseball team, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, take the first two games of the Atlantic League divisional playoff series from the Long Island Ducks.
Let me tell you something, right here and now. If you’re a baseball fan, there is no more exciting game than one where your team goes up a run in the bottom of the first, then makes that lone run stand up the whole game. Great baseball.
I’m in the mood for some guitar, so how about Eric Clapton today? Pay attention to that second video, by the way. You don’t often get to see Steve Winwood tearing out a solo in a Robert Johnson blues song. Also, watch Clapton’s face as he takes his solo. That’s the face of pure musical rapture.

Thanks for the Blue Crabs update. I covered their former hitting coach when he managed Bluefield.
Andy Etcheberren? He's managing the Lancaster team in the Atlantic League now. He replaced Chris Hoiles who resigned this year.
