And I happen to agree with Beck on this...look at Bush...were you entirely happy with what he did during his presidency? On the war, I was with him 100%. On a lot of the other stuff? Not so much. But the GOPs in the Congress went along with everything he wanted because he was their guy. McCain is more old style Democrat than he is a Republican...and if you're not in favor of government doing everything for you, that's not what you're looking for. With Obama - if we survive him - you're getting active resistance...both in Congress and on the streets. With McCain, that wouldn't have happened. He'd have just muddled along, compromising our freedom away.
Just think of Obama as chemotherapy treatment for the cancer of Statism. Chemotherapy is a form of poison. It's applied in such a way as to kill off bad tissue, but hopefully leaves enough strong tissue so that you can recover. It can also kill you.
Sure reminds me of that old saying "That which does not kill you will make you stronger" At this point, it's kind of a wait and see thing. We might not make it.

Yes. That's a good one too..."Thurston Howell conservatives"! Yeah, do they ever try to imagine what a Thurston Howell ONLY party would look like? Or how many new members that might convert?
If they were as smart as they think they are, they would realize that a fair portion of the electorate is either crazy or disinterested. Crazy people can vote too.
So let GB do his work. You may not have a taste for his style, and you may not agree w/ all of his politics. I sure don't...but darn it, he's right about this stuff he's "uncovered"...which was previously "uncovered" by all of these super-smart folks that didn't have enough "crazy" to draw people's attention to it.

You see…that's why I love this blog.
