Better Fretting, Through Science!

To heck with global warming. If the Chicken Littles among us really want something to panic about, they should worry about burrowing black holes!
As if they weren’t considered beastly enough, black holes can dive into nearby stars and devour them from the inside out, scientists now suggest. Such invasions by such black holes could help explain the most powerful explosions in the universe, gamma-ray bursts, whose origins remain elusive.
The idea needs support from further theoretical work, and observations would help, too.
That makes this theory about perfect for the global warming cult, whose pet theory that we’re killing the planet also need further theoretical work and some observations.
Science is really frakking cool. Unfortunately, the same can not be said, necessarily, of scientists.

The only complaint I have is the headline–"Radical new theory," it says, though the idea is ten years old….
Maybe they say that because now it's "RADICAL!" instead of just another theory?
