It’s A New Presidential Speech Game: Spot the Lie
I just thought of a new game you can play when reading a Barack Obama speech. It’s called “Spot the Lie”. I don’t recommend you play it as a drinking game or, if you do, you only take two or three paragraphs of any one speech. If you decide, for some reason possibly involving a severe head wound or the insertion of a Ceti eel larva into your ear canal, to play “Spot the Lie” as a drinking game with an entire Obama speech, I can not be held responsible for your death by alcohol poisoning.
The rules of the game are simple. Find as many lies as you can in a Barack Obama speech. Don’t worry about running out of speeches before you run out of fun. The man gives speeches more often than Maceo Parker gave James Brown horn hits. I think you’re good for material.
Let’s take his most recent speech, before a crowd of dozens (using the MSM Tea Party Attendance Scale) in Minnesota. Here are a couple sample paragraphs:
But know this: I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it’s better politics to kill this plan than improve it. I will not stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are. If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out. And I will not accept the status quo as a solution. Not this time. Not now.
We are closer to reform than we have ever been. But this is the hard part. This is when the special interests and the insurance companies and the folks who want to kill reform fight back with everything they’ve got. This is when they spread all kinds of rumors to scare and intimidate the American people. This is what they always do.

The game can only played with his speeches in print. It is too easy with live speeches. You simply shout "You lie" if his lips are moving. Of course if your date is a blond with American college student that is taking unfair advantage and you can't play for too long or she will become unresponsive and comatose.
