Sorry – but Joe says that TRICARE is one of the best health plans in the country! But he says that government plans compromise care and interfere with doctors and patients. Also, the little story about people getting insurance from their "employers" is subtly deceptive. Instead, we get our employer plans from our employer, the government and from our own premiums. The government subsidizes private employer plans. The government RUNS, ADMINISTERS, DETERMINES WHAT CARE IS AVAILABLE, ETC, for TRICARE. There's a huge difference. That's why TRICARE is a public plan — which conservatives say is demonic and satanic. Why not just hand military people $$$ and let them get their "own" care elsewhere?
