I had planned on writing a long post with my real opinion of Ted Kennedy after his funeral (which, at this point, seems to be going on longer than Wagner’s Ring cycle and is as likely to end with mighty Valkyries whisking him off to Democratic Valhalla). However, that won’t be necessary because Stacy McCain has said everything I would have said plus some in this post at the Green Room.

It is a brutal post, but it it also honest, and that’s important. Ted Kennedy did some good things in this life, but those were far outweighed by the utterly reprehensible acts that would have gotten him drummed out of polite society for decades had he been anyone else. Again, I grieve for his family but I hold no such feelings for the legion of sycophants and political allies who will be using his corpse like he was the Progressive Policy Zombie to get their totalitarian dreams fulfilled.
