MS-NBC’s Racist Lie Must Not Be Allowed To Stand
Ace is right. The flat-out deception that happened Tuesday on MS-NBC should not be allowed to stand.
I know I’m burying the lede and if you’re in a hurry, you can hit the links and get the story faster, but hang with me. This is better with some setup.
Here’s the short version of the story. Contessa Brewer gave a brief report about people openly carrying firearms to anti-Obamacare rallies. The specific “kicker” example she used was that of a man who carried a pistol and a rifle to the rally outside the President’s VFW speech in Arizona, complete with closeup footage of the man’s weapons. Brewer then closed with this:
And the reason we’re talking about this, a lot of talk here, Dylan, because people feel like, yes, there are Second Amendment rights for sure but also there are questions about whether this has racial overtones. I mean, here you have a man of color in the presidency and white people showing up with guns strapped to their waists or to their legs.
Pretty scary stuff, no?
The whole “when will the angry white people take a pop at the brave black president” commentary went on for a couple of minutes. I’m pretty sure that more than a couple people walked away from the report honestly thinking that the anti-Obamacare protesters are a bunch of insane, racist would-be assassins.
As it happens, that’s exactly what MS-NBC wanted. No, I’m not being hyperbolic. Take a look at the video for yourself.
Did you notice how the shot of the guy with the guns is so tight? That’s because it it had to be.
You see, the guy carrying the guns was a well-dressed black man. The entire racial element of the story was an outright lie created on purpose by MS-NBC. Take a look at the CNN report in this post. MS-NBC had to crop the shot tightly, to the point where you could barely make out that there was a gun in the picture at all, so that you wouldn’t be able to tell that the entire story was contrived.
What I want to know is what in the name of all that’s holy was MS-NBC trying to do? Their lying heads claimed not to want more racial tension, but they deliberately made up a story about growing racist anger to…what? Bring tensions down? How, exactly does that work?
It doesn’t, of course. What it does do is slander the anti-Obamacare movement, who by the way are mostly decent and ordinary Americans (gun-toters included), and drive yet another wedge between white and black folks. I can’t imagine why any sane person would want to do either one, but there it is.
If you’re inclined to do so, I suggest you hit Ace’s link and make a phone call or two to the network to let them know that you know they’re a bunch of lying crapweasels. You might demand an immediate retraction and apology. Calling for a couple resignations wouldn’t be out of the question either.

UPDATE 2: It’s been pointed out to me by a friend on Twitter that it’s possible the two actual journalists were uneasy about the hints that the President might get shot. The transcript (which link I posted) makes it clear that’s not true. However, because I do want to be clear that the hosts were in complete agreement with Toure, here’s the very end of the segment.
TOURE: I mean, look, there’s no – I mean, you just know that there is a significant swath of the country that is still angry about there being a black person as president and will do whatever they have to do to show their anger.
BREWER: I do.
RATIGAN: But, again, there are different items that come together that can be a bad combination.
TOURE: Yeah.
Notice that neither of them attempted to slap a quick disclaimer on the end of the segment and neither of them so much as challenged Toure’s belief, even a little bit.

Who's Mark Hinckley? The guy in the middle is naming off presidential assassins and he doesn't even get the names right. It was John Hinckley. I know this is a nit pick but no one else corrected him. This is at about 1:17 in the video.
I also like his (not) subtle naming of the protesters as hate groups. Because the only reason you could not want government health care is that you are a hate filled bigot.
Well, they are going to continue to lie to "WE THE PEOPLE" as long as we allow them to.
I say boycott. Call all of the advertisers and tell them we wont be buying their products, That MSNBC lies to us, so there for they must also be ok with telling lies to the public.

Only way WE can make a change is to pick ONE as a target and just HAMMER AWAY at it, till it either DIES or changes its ways.

Justen, If you actually watched fox you would have seen that they not only showded the full image of a black man carring the guns, but also reported that Az. and many other states have open carry for guns. Don't throw other s under the bus just because the libby's are lying.
I can't belive that a news agency is actually reporting this way.
I wonder if there's a way we can find out her email address…or, send our concerns to MSNBC direct? This was the biggest spin I have ever seen. Ever. It was so flagrantly done that even a retard would've snagged it as a spin. So this tells me that the vast majority of all MSNBC viewers are mentally retarded, as most Liberals are.

I got rid of pay TV (Dish Network) because I am done listening to the hatred and lies coming from these news sources. Not to mention the anti-Christian worldview that it produces. I refuse to pay my enemies to insult me anymore. May God have mercy on us all.
