Hey New York Times, you’re four-days late on that editorial. I covered the same subject, and did a better job of it, frankly, on Sunday. Ryan Sager, who for all I know is a fine upstanding person, never makes it clear in his editorial that the distinctive characteristic of Astroturfing is dishonesty. Without that central point, his editorial doesn’t really carry a lot of punch.
What really stung is that Professor Reynolds decided to give the link-love to the frakking Times instead of a fellow blogger. I’m sure he had no idea I even wrote the blog post (but why not? It’s not like he hasn’t linked to me before and I’m well-regarded by people he links to quite a lot) but he should have been. It’s not like I’m asking for an Instalanche a day, but he could do a lot worse than to link to one of my posts each week.

Hey considering how the times manages its facts they must need all the link love they can get.
That’s ok, Jimmie, he ignores me too!
